The Cowboys are back in Denver!

In Denver, the event that triggers my realization that it is indeed a brand new year is the National Western Stock Show. Today, at high noon, local cowboys herded a bunch of longhorn cattle through the streets of downtown Denver, as part of the National Western Stock Show parade.

Cowboys, on horses in the middle of very urban, bustling downtown, with a herd of mooing cows-- udderly priceless.
"In its 105th year, the National Western Stock Show is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides college and graduate level scholarships in agriculture and medicine for practice in rural areas. It is also our mission to serve producers and consumers throughout the world by being the premier Stock Show, Rodeo, Horse Show and center for year‐round events. The 16‐day show also serves as an entertainment arena, hosting one of the world’s richest regular season professional rodeos, largest horse show and Colorado’s largest tradeshow."

I've bought tickets to the rodeo this Saturday. My Baby Buckaroo and I are excited to experience our first rodeo together! :)
