Conclusion: What I learned this last 31 Days

As you know, I've spent the last 31 days studying and reflecting on the Proverbs 31 woman (see the entire month here). This woman seemed like she did it all. She was an incredible wife and mother, she built a business to provide luxuries for her family. She saved and invested her money to create more jobs and opportunities for her community, but also so increase the financial security of her own family. She was an incredible friend, speaking with wisdom and kindness. She was giving, feeding both the poor and hungry. But above all, this woman loved God with all of her heart, mind, and body.

As I've spent the month thinking about her, at times I've felt insecure. I mean, how can I (or anyone else) for that matter imitate this woman. She's superwoman!

But then, I realize, that we already have the tools, we just need to figure out how to use them. I firmly believe that we as women, have already been fully equipped for every good work, and that we can do everything through Him who gives us strength! (2 Tim 3:17, Phil 4:13) Since we have the tools, lets learn how to use them! Since we have the strength, let's practice and learn how to be more efficient with our work.

Personally, I have learned that I need to be more disciplined in my life, in my time management as well as my money management. Sometimes I tend to be all dreams and vision, with no practical follow through for the task before me. And other times, I get so caught up in the sale or in what I want that I forget that we actually need to stick to a budget.

So, at the end of the month, what's my take away?

I have an incredible family, and am surrounded by immeasurably more blessings than I could ever deserve. While I will never be perfect (nor do I have any desire to be perfect) there are a lot of areas in my life where I can grow so I can give more to my family-- giving more time and showing more love.

I'm participating in a 31 Day Challenge to Change my World.
What am I doing for 31 Days?
