Introducing the Baby Buckaroo

Here he is, my Baby Buckaroo (or Bebe for short).

I can't believe he's seven weeks old already. Since he was little when he was born, he's just barely outgrown his newborn clothes, and just this past weekend used his last newborn diaper. He's a little guy, but has fully seized our hearts and has his mommy wrapped around his finger.

On a side note, today is my 300th post. Crazy how much my life has changed since my first posts in November 2006. I wasn't sure then what I would do with my life, whether I should continue pursuing my PhD in English Literature, or go to law school, scrap everything and move back to the ranch so I could work with my family in agriculture again.

I'm not going to make any more goals or resolutions to write so many posts a week, but I hope this year, I'll be able to spend a lot of time doing what I love-- writing, and that I can share a bit of Bebe's life in pictures. Already I can't believe how fast time is flying by, and he's less than 2 months old!

Hello Cowgirl! I am a freelance writer for National Jurist magazine (and a mother of two kids -- I stay at home and write). I'm doing a story about a recent study that shows that most female law students feel like they don't talk at much at law school and feel fearful of the whole experience. I'm looking for a female law student to give a comment about the study...Could you help? I'm on a tight deadline and trolling the blog-o-sphere for help.

I am karen_dybis@att.net or 313-737-0019 (cell).

Here is the study: According to the latest Law School Survey of Students Engagement, female students were more likely than male students to cite a fear of failure or the desire to avoid embarrassment in front of their peers as factors that motivated them to work hard in law school. Female students were also less likely to ask questions in class and to email or discuss assignments with faculty.
