Everything finally in its place

Well, it took a month, reading Organizing from the Inside Out: The Foolproof System For Organizing Your Home, Your Office and Your Life, and much hard labor, but I did it.

I organized my office.

The before: heaps of stuff in the middle of the room, piles of books against the walls because I didn't have enough bookshelves. Junk mail and unfiled paperwork everywhere. Whenever I entered the office to do homework, I started hyperventilating.

 And then my dear husband installed shelves for me from the Container Store.

Ahh... bliss.

And now... after weeks of organizing, purging, and filing:
I have two work surfaces, a plethora of bookshelves, and a clean empty floor. I'm so happy (Despite the assortment of kung fu weapons against the wall in this photo, which will eventually end up in the garage). It's not quite an English Gentleman's library... but it's better than a finger in the eye.
